Meet Our Staff

Milton O.S. Garland Sr., Owner
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture in 1972 and immediately went to work for a commercial general contractor. For five years I worked as an estimator in Saudi Arabia, and for a long time I’ve specialized in design-build projects; things that have been beneficial knowledge in my 40-year career in the construction industry. My wife Rita and I have six children and 13 grandchildren; they are the joy of our lives. Between church, family, and work, we don’t have much time left, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ty, Project Manager
I have 17+ years of experience in all types of commercial construction. I’ve worked my way up within Garland & Associates Contractors, Inc. from laborer to project manager. My work duties include drafting, estimating, and project management. In my off time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, attending church, and spending time with my four children and wife.

Greg Malcom, Lead Designer
After graduating from Athens Tech in drafting and design in 1982, I worked in the manufactured building industry for 28 years in drafting and design, quality control, and estimating. Here at Garland and Associates Contractors my responsibilities include design and drafting of concept and permit plans, coordinating the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing permit plans. Also responsible for securing permits with various municipalities. I have also served as a project manager and as job site superintendent. In my off time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, children, grandchildren, attending church, and fishing.

Savannah Ogan, Receptionist
I started working with Garland Contractors in 2017 as the front desk receptionist. In my home life, I enjoy going on hikes with my new husband and our two dogs, working on my wood-burning projects, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.

Christy, Asst. Project Manager
After a long journey as an EMT, I decided two years ago to go to work for Garland & Associates Contractors as an Assistant Project Manager.  During my two years, I have not only learned a lot about commercial construction, but have also learned the importance of integrity, and building relationships that will last a lifetime.  In my off time I enjoy camping, woodworking, watching SEC football, and spending time making memories with my family and three dogs.
